I usually lose interest in a look once it’s become super trendy, like these trench-style jackets, but there’s something about their versatility I really like. This would be fairly simple to draft and sew yourself, and I like the sash detail on the back of this one. I’m not sure what the best wrinkle resistant fabric would be to use though? I typically see them made from a regenerated cellulose like lyocell. (Seen at Club Monaco)

I’m not into the fringe, but I love the idea of a woven leather clutch. For the sake of ease you could weave it from wider leather strips, and like this one keep the back of the clutch solid. (Seen at Dealuxe)

Faux taxidermy, another one of those trends I’m not super into, but look at these little felted guys! A women in Quebec makes them by hand and she’ll even model one after your pet. A fun needle felting project. (Seen at mini mioche)

A woven skirt? I also like the closure on this blazer, an unexpected alternative to a button. (Seen at Club Monaco)

I’m always on the hunt for unique statement jewellery. I like the weight and feel of this rope necklace, which could make a nice DIY project. Also shown, an interesting way to finish a dolman sleeve. (Seen at meg)

Lastly, here’s a neat wall art DIY. Laser cut paper (just use an x-acto knife) positioned an inch above a metallic background. (Seen at West Elm)
