Oslo Opera House in Norway

July 9, 2018

Why yes, that *is* a roof you can walk up like a ramp.

Who said opera wasn’t fun?

Whenever I visit a European city I always try to see the opera house. Not because I’m particularly into opera, but because the architecture tends to be pretty jaw-dropping. (Opera houses and libraries, those are the best!)

The Oslo Opera House in Norway did not disappoint. It was one of the most stunning structures we saw the whole trip.

You can literally walk on the roof, and plenty of people were hanging out enjoying the sun and the views. It’s neat to see a landmark made interactive like this. And it didn’t feel like it was just for tourists.

If you’re into photography, you could easily spend a whole day here playing with lines and angles and shadows—it’s incredible!
