Snaps from a day of art, architecture, and particularly notable lemon meringue tarts in Manhattan.
I was at the Smithsonian primarily to see the building itself (are you seeing those details?!) and The Metropolitan to see the Leonardo to Matisse drawing exhibit. I was in that one room of the Smithsonian taking photos of the floors/walls/pipes/ceiling/trim long enough that not one but TWO members of security approached me to ask, “if I was aware there were, uh, other rooms to explore” and “if I had lost something.” Because why else would I be crouched down in the corner of a hallway? Not to take pictures of 100-year old trim, surely?
